Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress, best famous for her role in Beta Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. The actress began her career in the 80s before coming to popularity with her role in the film Tezaab in which she was a part of the cast alongside an established actor Anil Kapoor. Her next film was the film Dil In which she starred alongside Aamir Khan. In the beginning, as a child growing up in Mumbai's middle-class, she began to learn how to dance. At the age of 16 she started acting, and was a victim for a few years as the majority of her early films failed. Then she found her feet and went on to become one of the top actresses on the Indian film business. After her marriage, she took a pause in her professional career. She returned later. In recent years, Dixit was a key player as a character in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was nominated 15 times to win Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of these. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit, India's fourth highest civil honor. Also, she is well acknowledged for her work in the field of charity.
